World of Warcraft

It was inevitable

Anyway, here we post all our WoW talk. Exchange class tips, mods, find Fraggies on your server etc etc.

I'll start off...been playing WoW for about 3 years on and off. It seems everytime I "quit" i keep coming back simply because...well, I can't run much else on my computer that's worth playing. Most "game experiences" fall on my 360. I have a 70 Human Warrior on Jubei'Thos and a new Death Knight on Dreadmaul.
To be honest, I really like the Death Knight not just because its the flavour of the month. Its a genuinely interesting class but I can understand where all the prejudice is coming from...it is still severely overpowered in PvP...but I can't for the life of me understand why no one wants them in raids or heroics. They're the IDEAL DPS class...but people still seem to reject us. Ah well...they'll get over it soon I guess.

So what servers do you guys play on? What classes, play-style (PvE or PvP?) do you prefer and feel free to share some in-game stories.
Depends on how much you play, I eventually get over it, and then go back and so on and so forth.

If you spend just about all your day on it you will be a slave to Azeroth.

That is so true, right now I am getting bored so I just raid with my guildies and that is about it.

I played a Hunter, got to the Barrens and went from 15 to 30 in close to 6 hours of game time, then got bored. I occasionally play on private servers.
um i thinking of getting into this game because one of my friends who i use to play soocer with decided to play this we use to keep in touch playing another online game till we both quit so im wondering about the patch if i my friend to copy that patch onto a usb and transfer that patch into a WoW file will i be able to not do that massive 2gb patch? ( this may sound like it makes no sense because im not a computer bloke)

Trust me you dont wont to get into this game. Take it from someone who's been playing for 5 and 1/2 years its boring and preparative gameplay is what makes WoW really boring. You can launch the patch from the USB stick, the patches for WoW will detect where you've installed the game and it will start patch the game. You dont need to transfer the file to the game folder.

ok but im still gonna try it because i need something to do and wow is a pretty big game and cheaper than console gaming so i give it a shot
Lol I had 209 days played on Hydraxis as a lvl 80 warrior, dwelling on end game content soon after expansions came out(Warriors are OP believe it or not, they just take way more skill than any other class), dont roll warrior unless you are just that addicted to melee class or like to tank. The game is awesome but just as any game, the expansions tend to become more and more predictable, then boring once gold is not longer an issue. Aswell as the fights are the same. Then I moved to Aion for 6 months. Made lvl 50 as a sorcerer, then lost interest because its even more boring at end game, lol. The pve is much different and the pvp consisted of ganking innocent farmers that are generally lower lvl or way less geared/outnumbered/twinked (wide range), lmao. For now Aion isn't all that great, but as WoW took all EQ's players, Aion will do the same as WoW did after a few expasions. Most of you that are looking for a long term game, I would for one wait for Blade to come out, or go to Aion because the population in AIon seems to be increasing way faster than WoW's. Thats basically my opinion of gaming since EQ came out and died, lol
hey can anyone tell me how long it would take me to get to the top engi class
To level any profession as a new player, you will have to farm your aise off, lol. I had waited til I was lvl 80 and just did mining otw to 80. Once I was 80, bought mats from AH til mats started getting too expensive. Then just googled farming mats off the internet. After little over a week I had taken my blacksmithing from 140-max, can be done much quicker I'm sure. With just doing repetitive runs around certain parts of outlands and so forth. Other than that, if you are a new player, doing two professions that doesn't consist of any type of farming to level (such as blacksmithing, alchemy, Jewelcrafting). This route will take forever if you have no way to pay or acquire mat's. I would flip titanium ore, buy peoples titansteel CD's and sell in AH and people who bought them from me through CoD(cash on delivery). Eventually there was no farming involved, would make several thousand a day. Then once the ICC came out, bought the marks to get all the new BS'ing patterns (in the first week and a half) and from there profit from BS'ing, mining, grinding, gold was coming in much quicker. Would average close to 20k on a good week. At that point, I could have probably saved up enough to just buy mats for another professions, drop mining, pick up JC'ing and buy mats with the gold I saved for the extra 400+ gemmed gear. Unless you are getting paid to play or just have that kind of long term time to sit on a computer game, most likely, like myself you will say I need to move o
As far as the mmo games go, most likely I will stick with first person shooter considering they are 15 minute intervals since getting married. A huge change from the minimum of 3 hour sitting just to make progress. And those that say they are just casual players and log on to raid...If you're in an end game guild raiding in wow or aion, 5 hours a night/4 days a week (+farm time) isn't considering casual btw, lol!
