So it's been announced, it had co-op and snow, and it's going to be awesome. Let's hope it's better than DS2, though I'm not sure how I feel about the co-op element.

I really want to play this but I'm so weary about where it could go. I'm not exactly confident it is going to deliver the experience I want. Give me the tension filled experience of the first Dead Space and I'll be happy. Co-op alone makes me think this is going to be so action heavy.

Just so you know, they're very different when it comes to pacing, how you engage with the environments and enemies. It's a lot more action-y, if you know what I mean.

So I just finished the first chapter on PC. They should have called it Call of Dead Space. Seriously, this is ridiculously action packed, which actually feels really cool, but it doesn't suit Isaac or the Dead Space franchise.

If they gave us a new protagonist, I might be able to swallow it better, but so far it seems way over the top.

On the plus side, it runs fantastic on my Mac Mini with only a 256MB Radeon in Windows 8, so I can't wait to see it on my real rig. Even at medium it looks very nice.

I'm disappointed tbh. Sure, it's a great third-person shooter, and co-op is kinda cool, but the story is so nonsensical, I don't give a shit about Isaac, and I'm not really convinced that the environment he is in is especially tense, which makes it hard for me to get scared.

But it's a great action game.
