not sure how many people on the PC scene are into light gun games, but i just purchased this for my Alienware laptop www.hkems.com/...

its wireless, has a laser and a recoil feature that clocks back when you shoot (like the old time crisis arcade guns). im still waiting for it to arrive, and gonna be using it on virtua cop, house of the dead, etc, for PC. im planning to hook up my laptop to my 40" LCD TV.

is anyone here experienced in the light gun scene? do u have a setup, or have used light guns with PC before? discuss!

I still have my PS1 light guns for Die Hard and Time Crisis.

They don't work anymore though :( Stupid LCD tvs.... :P

That first one looks really good, whats the price like?

When you get it working, I'd like to hear more!

i got it off play asia for about $68 total including shipping. it will probly arrive sometime next week, will let u know how it goes.

apparently a lot of people use a MAME emulator and play a bunch of arcade light gun games with this, so we'll see how that goes :P

It's not too bad for UK price, £28, about the price of Skyrim atm.

Might consider it since I'm such a sucker for Light gun games, though there aren't that many.

i know, i've always loved light gun games.. all the ones you listed, plus virtua cop, and i remember this one that i played when i was little which allowed you to drive with a steering wheel and had two light guns for shooting as well... i think it was called lucky and wild or something lol.

sucks that there isnt a bigger market for light gun games... xbox360 didnt even bother with a light gun at all :(

I've been researching on how to use my wiimote as a light gun.

Looks like it works as a mouse and pointer, but I can't find an updated and in depth guide on how to use it Glovepie and MAME. Most guides and from circa 2009 which are outdated.

This hurts my brain XD

Looks like a decent well featured light gun. I've never even thought about using one of my PC, what games does it work well with?
I have lots of light guns but for my retro consoles, NES zapper, Sega Saturn Virtua Gun, G-Con for the PS1 etc.

From youtube, it looks like it works everything on MAME. So pretty much EVERY arcade gun game.

i havent gotten the gun yet, but so far i've been trying to get gun games to work on the MAME... its really confusing :S

some games like virtua cop 2 and house of the dead 2 dont run on mame emulator, they actually run on different emulators called 'model 2' and 'demul', respectively. its really weird. there are PC versions of both games though, that apparently works perfectly with the light gun. i did get point blank working on MAME though, so i've already got a few games lined up.

i dont know personally, dont plan to use more than 1 gun, but there are ways iv seen around the net that describe how to use 2 guns on PC

I dunno if it's still applicable, but I remember reading something ages ago about that not being possible due to how the system handles mouse input or something.
