hey all, a few people wanted to play terraria together on a server just for mmgn players. i recently figured out how to create a server for terraria.

what you will need;
@Marge is our new host, so here are thy details!

You will be able to connect through: i.p is now "dougie.likes-pie.com"
password: contact @Marge for infomation (grief protection)
i can change it to something more secure if were afraid of griefers

IMPORTANT!
since @Marge has been kind enough to make a temporary server please post your in-game terraria user name of your character so i can comply a list of who is who, before joining.

IN GAME RULES

for the safety and well being of everyone please read these! ~tails

1. please make a new character! no matter what, we dont want any transferring of characters from other worlds/saved files. the characters must be created for this server and must only gain/create/craft stuff only from the MMGN server.

2. no griefing! please dont destroy other peoples houses and such, a lot of time and effort has been poured into them.

3. DO NOT START HARDMODE UNTIL WE AGREE UPON, i know i crap on and enforce this rule A LOT, but thats because we are steadily trying to get EVERYONE up to speed without forcing it upon them, once we are all ready we shall advance.

4. have fun! i wished for the server to be PvE, but if you and another player agree to PvP duel each other, please respect each other/others around you.

5. finally, DO NOT steal items from ANYONE. ask people before you start raiding houses and leaving them dry. there is a community centre (pictured below) for all your needs and some chests are there for you to freely use some items, please leave some for others :)

i would like to see a return to this maybe a more structured so we not have the do we activate hard mode or not

and tails didnt you have the old server?

I think the problem with it was that it was more of a community server I think.

You can't really run a community server in this like you can with minecraft because I don't believe minecraft has a world progression controlled by players outside of how you build things like you're not going to get super zombies or mega creepers in minecraft unless you mod them in.

If you start it up it's probably best to run with tight knit group to play how they want to play and anyone who joins in afterwards is free to join but not considered when pacing your world progression.

they if think if we do a reboot of this server to only leave the whitelist open for a week, so no one gets that far behind in progress

That's not really going to solve much imho, we had people starting at the same time i'm pretty sure i was one of the later ones that joined in?

Yet only 3-5 people really worked on their armour/supplies for hardmode I believe.

It really depends on motiviation of the person not how much time they have.
