Origin Issues

I just loaded up origin for the first time since BF3 Beta, and now it just seems to crash, actually doesn't even crash it just shuts down, it's annoying the crap out of me because I just bought BF3 and waiting for the CDkey to be emailed. has anyone else come across this problem i tried google and not much on it there, i've uninstalled and downloaded it again, and still same errors.

any help would be appreciated.

theres quite a few problems going around with the orgin + battlelog.

try this if you are having cd key problems or activation problems;
battlelog.battlefield.com/...

make sure you manually update punkbuster (unless it hasnt already been updated)
www.evenbalance.com/...

otherwise id contact EA about your consisting problems.

Yeah I had problems with Origin last night. Open, login and then launch Battlefield 3, then went to Battlelog and clicked campaign (using my 3G stick so can't play online) and then it had somehow logged me out of Origin. I repeated this process about 5 times until eventually is just worked.

havent got any games on it TBH, i load up origin, it then loads my friends list then just shuts down without even giving me an error message,

So I just want to play some BF3 and my Origin says "our authentication severs seems to be down" and I can't play! My internet was just connected! THIS BLOWS!

yea overlay is annoying but Battlefield 3 has by far been the worst game for me to get going on my current Rig. it was one problem after the next. for some reason origin stopped crashing on its own; once i got it going everytime i log into battlelog it would tell me i needed to purchase BF3, spoke to EA and they fixed it up on their end, so then got the game going then crashed my system and it played with my Bios it reverted my overclock back to stock settings, couldn't find boot drive, then i had to upgrade my Nvidia drivers then it went spastic on me screen flickered every 3 seconds on and off, and now i can't play MP giving me an error i can't login to EA servers or something.... oh almost forgot, the LMB (fire) wouldn't work after 30 minutes of trying different mices, drivers, USB, changing button layout, turns out that it was my Logitech Pro joystick had to be unplugged [Facepalm]

Open Origin.
Origin crashes.

Re-open Origin.
Crashes.

Well since I haven't used Origin much lately (I haven't bought BF3) I never really noticed that something was wrong. It used to just boot up with Windows until a couple of days ago. After reading this thread I decided ti fire it up manually, after it loads up and displays the UI it will crash less than a minute later. Wash rinse repeat it will keep doing that.

I've worked out that if you go through battlelog.battlefield.com/... it works pretty well.

Will make you log into Origin to play BF3, but it doesn't seem to crash either.

One thing Origin hasn't got right is the ability to reuse original game instals. I just formatted my PC and reinstalled Steam. steam knew where to instal its self and all my games that were installed are ready to go. Origin on the other hand forces me to redownload all my games, it even prompts you and says "you can't use old game data" [Rage] FAIL WHALE!

You set it up to look in the same directory as the games you had previously installed yeah? Because I can most definitely do what you are complaining about.
At most I had to download a couple hundred meg for some reason.

Exact same location as it was before and it basically told me to **** off.

Yeah it's bullcrap. I don't know if people have figured out a way to move it.

Sticking my games on D drive works out great! I did a format and reinstall yesterday, installed Steam on D, and the games were ready to go.

Yeah dude, under options there is the option to change the location of installed games.
