I couldn't find a general discussion thread, think one may have been made but it's not coming up in the search.
Anyway here's a thread for those random Steam related questions or complaints.

My question is where did the link URL go for each page, I remember there being a URL for each game in the Steam store (the app not the site) in the upper left hand corner of each game page. knowing me it's probably right in front of my eyes, or has it actually been removed?

That's a hated sign, but I also hate it when you didn't put it in offline mode, and want to start in offline mode, but it won't.

Funny thing about that. When trying to login to Steam at Uni, I get that message (probably because they block the connection automatically or something). But if I turn my WiFi off, it lets me get into Offline mode (love)

Oh yeah I've been there, I've even copped that message after I have put it in offline mode before I lost the Internet for a while. I was pretty pissed off about that.

When you have connection troubles, have you ever tried unplugging your Internet? I have hunch that if Steam detects that you aren't even connected to the Internet, it won't even bother trying to connect to the servers and just start up in Offline Mode.

Last time I tried, I booted up my laptop with no internet. I tried to open steam in offline mode, it wouldn't work.

I think Steam sales do great for bring a game that many people are done with back to light. Not everyone gets a game on launch day, when that game comes up cheap on Steam so many people that didn't get it before jump at the chance then a bunch of people suddenly become interested in it. Really boosts online servers as well.

Definitely. Such a great platform, especially considering how much cheaper these games are than on console.

Maybe EA have realised that not everyone wants to have another client running at the same time as Steam. That...or they just want more cash so they are putting their games everywhere.
I think the main problem they had was DLC rights so this would lock in that Crisis 2 is never getting anymore content.
