Has anyone tried out the beta version yet, if so what are your thoughts and experiences with M$ latest?

windows 7 ran pretty good on this laptop, XP starts up faster though, so thats a plus, and XP is a little better on battery from what i can tell. But as soon as i get working drivers for my laptop (it shouldn't take that long seeing as i got this so cheap cos it was making room for the Windows 7 machines) i will go back to it. But at the moment i like the expressions and all that on this one, make it usefull for web browsing and everything. But i finally got my little school machine

yeah it would, thats the one the kids at school have, and they are running windows 7 on six cell as well, but with the amount of crap that the government has on those things last maybe 2 hours

I was wondering if anyone could help me with Windows 7, i bought a laptop like 3 weeks ago, and got the free Windows 7 upgrade sent to me. When i was upgrading i noticed that there was no activation key on the disc pack i got. All i received was the disc then the COA stuck on the front of the cover. The COA doesnt have any set of "25" # for the activation. As i continued i realized i didnt need the activation, but now i do with like 2 days of the 30 days left. I looked on the bottom of my laptop and it had a Vista activation code, didnt work. Am i missing something or do i have to ring up microsoft?

Hey people, got a question about windows 7.

Just wondering, if I were to get an OEM (system builder) version can I install it myself at home or do I need the retailer to handle that?
