Quote Me a Build/Update Thread V.2

The old thread has reached 80 pages, and has been filled with many builds that the very helpful members of MyFrag have all contributed too.
IMPORTANT
However a problem with people changing the limit on prices, asking people to put together build estimates without knowing the costs, and people generally not knowing what they are talking about has occurred. It is acknowledged that build prices do change due to everyday life, however the number of people that have been changing the price (from 3000 in some cases to 1000...) is getting out of hand. Therefore i have created this form:
Both those Aerocools look very cheaply made

DoYL said: the aerocool looks mega lame.
i would go the v9, it is more tried and true if you know what i mean.
There are better coolermaster cases for the same money though.

i added nothing.

Lol. So then I'll go with the V9? And since that problem is solved. What is wrong with cheap PSU?
nothing, as long as it's a vantec ion2+ 600w cheap psu
what is wrong with like 420W PSU? Like what is so good about a 700W+ or somthing else. What so good about it?
you mean apart from being bigger? not only in physical size but in power output? I can't imagine what would be better about a bigger psu.
Generally with most systems these days, a minimum of 600w is advised.
I mean seriously, don't cheap out on the power supply, cos if they go they can pull a kamikaze and wreck your motherboard.

I changed the MotherBoard and i took out the Fan.

OK, first of all, that is not a build under $1000, that is a tower build for around $1000.

MSY charge $70 to build the pc.
That cooler is good.
Might I suggest looking at AMD as their cpus are now really really well priced.
That GPU is absolute balls.

Cos I have a bit of downtime I'll look up some parts for ya.
How about my build now?

And you can still continue with the build your making me.

Just make sure it has
AMD X4 945
Thermaltake V9 Case
G Wireless network card
Any HDD Over 500GB
Sata LG
Gigabyte MA 785GM-US2H
Any 1GB graphics card under $100
any 4GB DDR2 Memory
You dont need that motherboard, and you have barely given him any room to work with. That motherboard has onboard and shiz, thats all that makes it that expensive, put the money into a graphics card rather than spending pointless money on onboard graphics

pfft, gtfo, this build rocks (note you must build yourself)

MBO: gigabyte ma-785-ud3h - $108
CPU: AM3 x2 PII 550be - $104
RAM: 4gb ddr3 1333mhz PNY - $109
GPU: HIS 5770 1gb - $189
CASE: Antec 300 - $81
W/LESS: D-LINK PCI DWA-510 - $25
C/CLER: Notcua NH-U9B - $69
HDD: Seagate 500gb sata - $64
PSU: Vantec ION2+ 600w - $83
OS: W7 x64 HP - $115 (gone up in price, lame)
DvD: Sata Samsumng DvD - $37

Spend an extra $27 and get the v9 but the antec 300 is meant to kick some ass.
Also note that this thing has DDR3 ram.

Can i tell MSY to build it?

DoYL said:(note you must build yourself)

no,

i just assumed from the other thread you were talking in that you were interested in building it yourself.
Trust me, it's fun!
He said you have to build your self

im a kid. and i very not good at building
Gotta start somewhere, thats no excuse, go to counsel cleanup and find a dead computer, practice on that thing.
seriously, i started taking computers apart when i was 6.
(yes, that makes me a big man )

i started taking them apart when i was a wee lad. doesnt mean they always worked when they got back together
(i tried to dislodge one or two things soldered on to the motherboard looking for the CPU)
Even I built my own computer myself and I'm a girl

That gives you every excuse to do it now

I love it!
play the sex card to your advantage jub!
Just go onto how stuff works, look at youtube video's and stuff, just learn like that NFS
Fine fine. I'll ask my uncle if i can take apart his old Dell Optiplex GX260. And maybe i'll even do more. But the only reason i'm afraid is because i don't have the Right Equipment

Or can someone link me to a How to build video on youtube?
all it takes is a screwdriver.

Pongo said: all it takes is a screwdriver.

yup, all you need is a phillips head screw driver (the x one) and common sense (:
