Title as suggested ^_^ and holy crap I can't believe that we are already onto our 3rd thread, that's over 200 pages of car talk. We need cars.mmgn [Shifty]

I have discovered the most dangerous place to drive and that is near a church when people are leaving mass. It has to be a collective group of the neighborhoods worst drivers, let me just say God is not watching this lot that's for sure. They double park along a narrow road, they don't look when they pull out or cross the road, they have no judgment on how wide their cars are and they don't give way when they are meant to.

yesterday it was absolutely bucketing down in sydney and driving was pretty dangerous. around roundabouts i was going slow and taking it easy but the back end just wanted to slide all the time... and then i stopped at traffic lights on a hill and when they went green the wheels were just spinning with the smallest throttle input.

the rear tyres are 1 year/5000ks old and yokohamas and the fronts 6 months/2000ks and pirellis. im guessing it was cos the roads were super slippery and i could feel aquaplaning on some bits of road.

took me by surprise cos i didnt think it would happen on such new tyres but i can see how people get into a lot of trouble in the wet

I just realized why the back suddenly lost traction in my ute... I have an LSD so the inside wheel was probably spinning already before i left the corner.

Because i was accelerating but only enough to keep me at 60, driving like i was on bitumen -_-

E: also remembered the history of my bumper (just called the wrecker i got it from)

New bumper at wrecker
Sold to guy
Guy wrecks two weeks latter
Wreck sent back to wreckers who sold the bumper in the first place
Bumper sold to me
Plants in ditch two weeks latter

Now im going back to the same wrecker for a new bumper :P

Got to love how the high end performance cars managing that, even the new Lambo makes more power and uses less fuel.

Traction control is baaaad on dirt.
If you go into a slide the last thing you want is to have control of your rear wheels taken away from you, that is what causes you to lose it and crash into ditches.
You need to power out of slides on gravel.

Serious question [Shifty]

What do you all think of MX-5's seriously I have only found one other person who know anything about cars and likes them, there so cute, and handle better than any other factory car Ive driven. Seriously contemplating buying one.

yeah mx5's are go karts.. never driven one but they are so low and punchy from what ive heard. a manual would be super fun to drive if you can get over the fact that most people see them as womens cars :D

Im fine with that, they don't know what they are missing out on. Its not a particularly fast car, I mean most of the power is in like the 3.8K rev range, but super fun.

Doyl had one and we still give him s*** about it :P
They are good little pocket rockets though, very light and handle like they are on rails. Not a car I would go for though, not enough space for my liking.

yeah but those are the most fun. i used to drive my mums mazda 323 manual and it wasnt fast at all but you could drive it at its limit and not be speeding. alot of fun in that regard
