Title as suggested ^_^ and holy crap I can't believe that we are already onto our 3rd thread, that's over 200 pages of car talk. We need cars.mmgn [Shifty]

I remember when some fat cat in a massive SUV plowed into the back of my old VS. Dude was stupid enough to hit me while I stopped at a red light then had the nerve to say "that will just buff out" [Facepalm] Since he was being an arrogant prick towards me I just got his details and told him not to bother trying to pull one over on me I didn't have the time for the BS.
Dude was arrogant as talking to me like I was wasting "his" time.
Gave Shannons a call and told them what happened. They said drop the car off at my panel beater and leave the rest to us. Work got started on the car quickly and I got it back in about a week and I got a loan car. Later on Shannons called me up letting me know what happened, turns out the walker didn't want to pay out for it because the damage got up to 4 and half grand and he couldn't believe it. I lol'd because he didn't know my car was insured as a custom built car so it was valued at nearly 8 grand =D

Moral of the story, always go with a good insurance company The Car Thread - GTHO Phase III

I love how that 3.8 buick V6 engine just keeps on going, I know a guy who had over 700,000 on his VP, thing died of rust, drivetrain was still going good.

From 4820 to ipswitch brisbane.... I dont think so. i would rather fly.

Hell driving back should make a nice dent in my hours aswell.
Strangely enough the VS Ute was my dream car for a few years.

Flights are about $120 per person, so me and my dad is $240. (dad cant take the buss or we wont be back in time for him to go to the mine, 4 on 4 off)

General question about light bulbs. Is the size T10 the same as 501? There seems to be a million different standards for bulb size names and no charts to compare them.

Talked to my parents about going to brisbane for a good car...

Their response... "Pray and ask god for a local one, then wait"

1. I have 12 months to get 50 hours and learn to drive manual proficiently. (considering it has taken 2 years to get to 50 hours due to my parents being slack, the future is looking dull)
2. I'm pretty sure if you read the bible it doesnt say sit around on your arse waiting for god to do everything for you... Its more like go and do the work yourself and he will chip in occasionally.

Not happy at all. I am getting very agro now... rest of the day is gonna be shit.

Documentation of all vehicles used in all film and tv shows is pretty interesting, but damn that looks so time consuming.

I should answer that I had been away for a few weeks, overwhelmed with uni work. I did try out that turbo whistler during a dark hour, in the rain. Results were hilarious but I must admit it was the gayest thing I had ever done. Kept the rpm high with it spinning in the wet up a hill and it did sound like the car had a turbo up the ass. I might go to a mates farm tomorrow and get a video of it on his Civic.

Edit: I dug deeper, seems T10 / 501 / W5W are indeed all the same.

Looks good tho. looked at commos up to $10,000 with manual trans... there were only SS and one smashed up VX... The rest were to far away.

Checked the townsville paper and theres a 02 lancer for $3500.

There are plenty of them running around town (autos) with love heart exhaust tips, chrome rims, vinyls and a cannon.

I would have the only stock one in town :P

If i was to get a 4cyl i would only get a 2 door, pwr to weight you see.... lol. I dont want a total lag-mobile.

lol pimped hub caps are THE funniest thing on a car. i understand replacing your broken ones but just get plain grey ones dont get super shiny 10 spoke ones cos i can clearly see the steel wheel behind it fool [Facepalm]
