no use spending too much on sixes i reckon especially in cars that come with V8s like falcodores... just an exhaust to help it breathe is all you really need

Dad was talking about when he used to build up the falcon engines before the OHC. Twic carbies, cam, exhaust and eventually a turbo. Said they went like a shower of shit.

But cause i have about 220,000 on the clock it would probably blow up if i tried any of that.

My plan is just to fix it up a bit so it will last a couple of years so i can start putting money away for a bigger better car.

But if i had $9000 i would have bought that VT SS i found.

If i can still afford it when i get back from townsville i will snap them up.

But i just called around for bumpers...

There is one in pretty average condition for $100, but i haven't seen it so dunno if it will fill out or not.
And i can get a new one for $245.

I got $100 less this pay cause i took two afternoons off to help the parents move furniture because they needed a ute... They owe me big time.

So if i get the $100 bumper then i should be able to afford the extractors. But i dont know what condition it is actually in.

I've seen similar, my mises had to buy new chairs for her staff and bought something like that for the car nut that works there. It is pretty comfy, not as comfy as my seats *_* seriously that is one of the best things about my car.

Ok a few car related sightings an incidents that happened in the past couple of weeks.
1. I'm not a huge fan of that turbo Astra SRi, I don't hate it but it's no a car I would get for myself. However I saw one pull into the building across the road from my work that looked pretty dam rude. All black, everything was blacked out with dark tinted windows, wheels were gloss black as well. It was absolutely slammed into the ground and had a non polished front mount intercooler. This little thing looked the business.
2.On the way home today I saw a bright blue SRi and a bright green Focus running each other, the looked like they were really moving and I know with a few mods those cars can be real pocket rockets but both of them sounded weak as piss even though they had some "go" in them. Out of all the 4 cylinder cars (excluding the boxer WRX motor) the SR20 has to be the nicest sounding of the lot. That's when a prpper exhaust and intake has been fitted and not just a cannon muffler welded onto the back of the car.
3. Speaking of car sound I was driving along next to this R34 GTT that looked decent from afar. To me the RD Skyline motors just sound amazing but somehow this dildo that owned that R34 managed to make the car sound like crap. It had some scratchy/raspy sounding exhaust note to it. He was a bit of lead foot and kept booting ahead into traffic even though there was no where to go. When he got out in front of me I noticed that there was a really skinny exhaust system with a 4" cannon tacked onto the back [Facepalm]
4. I was pulling into the mini shopping complex where my gym is located and when I looked ahead I saw some pelican jam the brakes on and cross across 2 lanes to get into the entrance. If that wasn't bad enough he finds the only blind spot near the entrance and just stops there like a dumb arse. The icing on the cake was when I pulled in behind him he pops his car into reverse and starts heading towards me. He would have gone straight into me if I didn't beep my horn. **** knows why he thought it was a good idea to start reversing out of an entrance with poor visibility when there was heaps of room to do a U-turn. Anyone caught driving that poorly should have their car crushed with them sitting in the passenger seat.
This is how you reduce the road toll, start weeding out all the crap drivers that don't have a clue and pay no attention to their surroundings.

did anyone see the story today about the guy who crashed a lamborghini gallardo that he was test driving. it was in sydney this morning so the road should have been dry (maybe a little damp) but he wiped out the whole front drivers wheel assembly along with destroying the bonnet and that whole front side of the car.

the driver said he was changing gear when it lost traction and spun and hit a crash barrier. my dad just got back from europe where he drove the gallardo LP560-4 top of the range and he said he has no idea how this guy lost control unless he had the traction control off like a right knob that cant handle the power.

i tried to find a picture or news story but cant see it anywhere but it was on seven news tonight

Well at least he has now discovered that he can not handle that car he was test driving, after he pays off the massively marked up insurance excess he should stop off at the Toyota dealership and get him self a Camry. If he's still feeling brave maybe he could go and get the Sportivo model.

I keep seeing the same 2 modified Accord Euros and they look pretty dam good. If I ever needed (or could afford) a second car I would get one of those. Would be nice to have m current car modded up and then have a clean car like the Euro to drive around in everyday.

If wasn't doing anything sus and managed to lose it that bad at the speed limit then like I said earlier this is clearly not the car he should buy.

After the car gets repaired there will be a "used" Lambo going for fairly cheap :P

Repaired? I guess you could, it is only the front thats destroyed. I thought it would be a write off.

Engine (most expensive part) isnt in the front.... might not be a write off also reminds me of:
