But after finding out the milage they get, and how often the rotaries needed a rebuild and a whole lot of other crap, selling it sounded better... Ended up driving turbo's on Ps anyways...
Huddo said: im thinking of getting a suspension check for all my springs, struts, bushes and linkages. i think some of it could do with replacing/upgrading. should i just go to my normal mechanic or take it to pedders or somewhere like that? anyone know a good franchise place?

Guyver said: Pedders keep advertising their multi point suspension safety check. These guys are specialists in the field so I would go with them or if you have a mechanic that you can trust. If you haven't done so already I'm sure your car (VR/VS right?) will probably need some new bushes at least. I remember changing most of my suspension bushes to Nolathane bushes in my old VS and it made a noticeable difference. Back then I did it bit by bit because I was low on cash but what I should have done is just get the full kit and change them all in one go.
Huddo said: what you guys reckon about panhard rods, swaybars and strut braces? overkill on a V6?
Doyl said: Huddo said: what you guys reckon about panhard rods, swaybars and strut braces? overkill on a V6? While not overkill, definitely wouldn't be worth it. Replace the shocks with more shocks that don't cost an arm and a leg and then sell that car and buy something with actual performance which warrants performance upgrades.

Guyver said: I wanted to do the sway bars on the VS but never got around to it. I did add a strut brace which actually makes a big difference on Commodores because the front strut towers flex a lot under heavy load.

Guyver said: Guess the KW sounds like a good idea, was there any prizes involved or was it just for fun?
maxiboy said: Was group A the days before V8 supercars when in addition to production model Falcons and Commodores there was stuff like Nissan GTRs and Aston Martin V12s, those were the awesome days.
Guyver said: Some good prizes there man I used to use Motul oil... Back when I used to get it for bugger all
NguyenIMPROVED said: Guyver said: Guess the KW sounds like a good idea, was there any prizes involved or was it just for fun? Chasers provided Motul prizes. Oil n stuff. Few bottles of dot 5 brake fluid too. Re: Nissan V8 supercars One word, NASCAR. Nissan would need same wheel base, almost the same engine and other load of crap. I want the Group A style back, where cars actually performed differently, and had different strengths and weaknesses... >.> IMO they'll bring Infinity to aus for one of the rwd v8 sedans to use in the v8 supercars. But yeah, its not going to be a remake of 1991-2. I SAY BRING GROUP A BACK!!!
