Well, I for one believe he'll do well in the all-rounder role but only time will tell really. :D

Day 2-3 on the SCG pitch is usually the ideal time to bat, we'd want to get a fair innings lead though because Herath will be tricky on day 4-5 once the pitch starts turning.

Didn't get to watch anything today :( But good result. A better effort from SL, 300 is a respectable total. Not amazing, but defendable for sure.

Here's hoping for a good day of cricket tomorrow :)

Ed Cowan is a terribly indecisive lazy runner with poor awareness he shouldn't be a test opener if he can't keep up with Warner, that's now two ugly run outs he's caused in the last 2 innings & he's very lucky he didn't run out Warner instead.

Out Cowan, 'rest' a quick bowler most likely MJ & Hussey (unfortunately ret) in Khawaja, Watson if fit & Maxwell I guess if he's the preferred spin allrounder option but I'd prefer Henriques or Christian.

Spewing Hughes got out on 87 again I think a few big scores aren't far away for him & Warner once he stops throwing his wicket away.

I voted on the Vodafone live app that he'll be the highest scorer this innings & think he will probably remain the top scorer this innings.

He looked good, if perhaps a little tentative against the spinners. Probably could've looked to attack them a bit more, but you could see he wasn't willing to throw it away like Warner eventually did.

Yeah he didn't throw it away just got sucked into some good bowling by Herath, he said it was a pitch he didn't feel in all the time even though he scored the most runs he looks in real good touch unlike Cowan.

The Aussies were lucky Herath didn't bowl sooner because he looked dangerous, if we don't get 100+ run lead it could be a difficult run chase if Sri Lanka put some runs on the board.

Although I think we should be able to get their top order out abit cheaper this time around, it is good to see it's not a one sided match but we should win if the bowlers do the damage tomorrow.

Hard to believe Dilshan had bowled more than 5 overs before Herath was given the ball. It know it was because there were two left handers batting, but still...
