Minecraft is a sandbox game like no other. It is focused around creating a world via the use of blocks, of which the game world is made of. There is also an aspect of adventuring, with the ability to craft weapons, tools, armor and other useful things, and the presence of the ever dangerous mobs. Technically, this is all there is, however Minecraft is not just crafting and fighting. The whole world is randomly generated every time you start a new game and is infinite (almost) in every direction except up and down, meaning near limitless materials to build whatever one may feel like building. The only limitation to what one may create is their imagination, and a few minor things in the game itself, but nearly everything can be, and probably has been, done.
