The Elder's Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a first/third person role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studio. The story revolves around an escaped prisoner who tries to prevent a plot to open the gates to a hellish realm known as Oblivion, and unleash the horrors that lurk inside upon the mortal world, Cyrodiil.
The gameplay is sandbox, meaning that you can go anywhere at anytime, and explore more than 41 km2 of land.
You are able to use a large array of different weapons and magic spells.
The game also runs under the skill system, meaning that you can level up different skills and attributes.
Oblivion features enhanced AI, improved physics and impressive graphics.
You can download mods for the game, both official and fan-made, or you can create your own.

There is one expansion pack: The Shivering Isles, which adds a whole new world to explore, as well as many more quests, items and armour.

A great game for all RPG fans! For all that are playing Skyrim and want the past elder scrolls games I say go for oblivion, this also counts for please who have played fallout or really any great RPG, the game is really worth its money. The game really never ends with mods being made even today, to better that game and add giant changes! The game works much better on the pc mostly because you cant mod the xbox or ps3 version. There has been alot of different views of the game going from oblivion to Skyrim, Oblivion will all ways be much deeper in peoples hearts then Skyrim will "for now"
