40 hours straight of Diablo III will kill you

An 18-year-old Taiwanese man has died after playing Diablo III for 40 hours without a break.

The man known only as Chuang booked into a private room at an internet cafe on Friday, settled in for nearly two days, and died after no food or sleep for 40 hours, reports CVG.

He was left alone until Sunday morning when an employee found him resting on the desk and woke him up. Chung took a few steps, but collapsed before making it out the door.

He died shortly after being admitted to hospital.

A fatal blood clot after spending an extended period seated is believed to have caused his death. However, the official cause is yet to be determined.

I don't know how people can get that into a game they neglect your body crying for food. Let alone not sleeping for 40 hours

I believe this is more related to the study of sitting in your chair to damn long can shorten your life span.

But without a doubt games are going to get dragged into this because of someone's bad gaming habit.

Food has nothing to do with this you can live on weeks without food and probably days without water, sleep depravity maybe, more likely you'll pass out, what did in him was more likely being seated for too long as mentioned

One could argue that he was only there cause he was playing video games but that is far from the game's fault.

Diablo 3 isn't really that great to die over anyway <.>

... Im a bit confused of why he played for 40 hours straight, but did he not get up or do anything while doing this??? Oo So he just sat there for 40 hours and didnt move..... If i was to do 40 hours on any game i would have top get up and stretch and do that kind of shit. Also yes this is a very sad story! :(

But the question is WHY did he go on a 40 hour binge - And that is because of games. Diablo.
