  • Alan Wake recoups development and marketing costs in first 48 hours
  • Game hits number 1 on Steam at launch
  • Alan Wake's American Nightmare should be coming to PC

Alan Wake may have found minor success on the Xbox 360, but it seems that the PC crowd are getting behind the writer in a big way. Remedy announced that the game recouped its development and marketing cost during the first 48 hours after launch.

We are very happy with the sales and hitting #1 on Steam at launch was nothing short of amazing," - Aki Järvilehto, Remedy Games

With a successful PC launch under their belt, Remedy are getting set to launch their Xbox Live Arcade spin-off, Alan Wake's American Nightmare. Remedy already stated it was possible to see American Nightmare on PC in the future, but after this news, we're willing to bet on it.

Awesome, it totally deserves it. That was a great game that had just the right amount of creepiness to be unnerving, but not be permanently psychologically scarring. I loved it on 360, so I'm glad PC gamers are also enjoying it.
It's nice to see someone getting behind it. This game deserves recognition. I'm excited to be playing through it again, this time on my preferred platform!
i might have to get this for PC just so i can play it again and see if its any better, and yes its a great game
