Ubisoft has announced a new city building strategy game for iOS and Android.
The game is set during the America's early colonial era, and will have players building their own colonies.
This build and expand strategy game will also tie in some combat elements that will play home to some of the first assassins to reach the continent where it's the players role to nurture and defend it from threats over the next 150 years.
When fighting the screen shifts to a 3D perspective where units and brawl until one side is standing.
Assassin’s Creed Utopia also has multiplayer features, such as pitting your assassins against others.
The game is presumed to launch alongside Assassin’s Creed 3 on October 31 in Europe and is hinted to be available as a freemium game in partnership with Japanese giant Gree. It seems Ubisoft is getting right into the free to play models which also included the unveiling of The Mighty Quest For Epic Loot, an asynchronous dungeon crawler, as well as Anno Online and Silent Hunter Online.
Meanwhile, Producer Andreane Meunier has said that Utopia's narrative won't tie-in to Assassin's Creed 3.
This is a bold new world for Assassin's Creed, what else lies ahead for this franchise? Assassin's Kart anyone?
