BioShock Vita taking backseat to Infinite

Irrational Games boss Ken Levine says his studio is not focusing on BioShock Vita right now, as they prepare to release BioShock Infinite later this year.

"These games really are all-consuming endeavors," he told GameSpot in regards to how the team is developing two games simultaneously.

"We're not as focused on the Vita game as we will be," he said.

"You do want to keep the ball rolling but it is tough to give it your full attention before you finish what you have. But we're getting there with Infinite."

Levine has previously suggested that development of the PS Vita game could be outsourced, but only if a suitable partner can be found.

Devs really need to get the ball rolling with releasing more software for the Vita.
It's a catch 22. Devs don't want to release their games to a small user base and risk poor sales. So they wait. The user base will not grow without Devs releasing great games.
Sony will have to lead the charge to grow the Vita install base. Much like Nintendo had to ressurect the 3DS. I expect some pretty big Vita announcments from Sony at E3.
