Brink defies logic, sells over 2.5 million units

Brink has managed to sell quite well, despite a rocky launch and mixed feelings from critics. How you may ask? A slathering of free DLC, multiple patches and insane sales via Steam for the PC version.

It's estimated to have sold more than 2.5 million units worldwide, which at retail would mean that it's generated around $120-140 million in revenue,

But of course, as an independent video game developer, we don't earn that kind of revenue, as we're not the publisher of the title," - Paul Wedgwood, Splash Damage CEO

When you can't beat them, join them. Splash Damage is planning to open its own publishing house called WarCrest, which will be handling all of their future products, while Fireteam (another Splash Damage-founded company) handles the online services for future products

Use the money to make a sequel that actually plays well?
I hope they're only counting units actually sold, and not just the units that were downloaded during their free weekend.
