Crysis 3, the recently-announced second sequel in the popular sci-fi shooter series from Crytek, won't be the last game in the series, according to a preview of the game in gaming magazine Playbox.
The game will also feature new side missions, according to the magazine, as well as new nano-suit powers.
Steven Hall is writing the game's story, which will revolve around Prophet and his imprisonment by CryNet, which would bridge the time between Crysis 2 and Crysis 3.
The game will also see the return of Psycho from Crysis Warhead, a character that also made an appearance way back at the start of Crysis 1. New enemies will also be joining the fold alongside Crynet and Ceph.
As for the game's environment, the setting in New York City will offer sandbox gameplay, similar to Crysis 1 and an expansion on what was offered in Crysis 2, which wasn't quite as open and free but certainly provided a fascinating and interesting urban backdrop for battle.
Crysis 3 is set to launch in Autumn 2012 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
