Electronic Arts today announced the release of Dead Space 2 at retail stores in Australia and New Zealand. Dead Space 2 includes a one-time-use Online Pass registration code that gives players access to all of the online features in the game. Players that do not have a code can purchase the Dead Space 2 Online Pass for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and $15.95 on the PlayStation Network.

Dead Space 2 is now available in Australia and New Zealand for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The Dead Space 2 Limited Edition for PlayStation 3 will include Dead Space Extraction, the prequel to the entire Dead Space saga, now featuring support for the PlayStationMove motion controller.

Check out the latest developer diary for Dead Space below, showcasing how the game's superb lighting and atmospheric effects were made.

I'll buy it next week.. I didn't really like the first but I'm gonna give it ago :)
I'm glad online passes can be bought for cheap... It means second-hand buyers don't get ripped off and can enjoy all online benefits :D

360 or PS3? [Shifty]
I've been playing this all morning. It's lived up to its predecessor, it's absolutely stunning visually (the lighting is unbelievable, even better than the first Dead Space [Derp]) and it's even more scary than the first [WTF]. Really, if you loved the first than you're going to DOUBLY love this one! *_*
I bought it from STEAM so I have to wait until tomorrow :'@
I'm in the same boat heller... gives me a chance to finish the first one though...
Just wondering how do I play Extraction from the Limited Edition version?

As in how to get Extraction to play on your PS3? or how to play the actual game?
