Love or hate Kickstarter, the crowd-funding service has completely exploded amongst the indie gaming scene. Everyone is out there, pitching their ideas, and gaining decent followings in the process.
There is one major flaw though - to use Kickstarter you must be a U.S resident to enrol on Amazon Payments, the e-commerce backbone that handles payment and donations.
That's where Gambitious steps in; a new service based in Holland which offers backers actual shares of the games they support. Upon successful completion of the game, the user will received dividends like a traditional investor, rather than a copy of the game and some extra goodies.
Gambitious will be launching sometime around E3, yet will only be available in European territories initially. Global expansion is part of their plan, the question is how long?
