NCSoft, publisher and developer of several renowned MMO titles, and ArenaNet, developer of the incredibly-popular Guild Wars, have today revealed the launch date for the highly-anticipated Guild Wars 2
In a press release issued on June 28, the duo unveiled August 28 as the official release date of the game.
This news comes shortly after a four-hour stress test window was announced as a testing period for the game's servers.
Mike O'Brien, president and co-founder of ArenaNet, reflected on the publication of the release date: “After five years of creation, development, and polish, announcing the launch date of Guild Wars 2 is a huge milestone for us, but the thing we’re most looking forward to is seeing gamers from all over the globe explore this world and begin creating their own stories.”
