Minecraft 360 sells a million copies

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has sold one million copies in less than a week on Xbox Live Arcade.

"It's official: Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has has broken all previous Xbox LIVE Arcade digital sales records, selling more than any other title in the first 24 hours on Xbox LIVE Arcade," said Microsoft on Major Nelson.

It comes after it broke the XBLA sales record for most copies sold during its first 24 hours on the service.

Creator Markus 'Notch' Persson also revealed that it became profitable in less than an hour.
