If you were hoping to hear more about Half-Life 2: Episode 3 at the E3 expo this year, don't be. Valve representative Doug Lombardi told our friends at Joystiq that "We have no product announcements oplanned for this year's show." This is backed up by an apparent email from Gabe Newell to a ValveTime.net member who asked if Valve would be showing anything new at the who's who of gaming expos.
We are not announcing anything at E3. Really. We are not announcing Half-Life 3 or Portal 3 or Left 4 Dead 3. We are going to be showing stuff everyone already knows about (CS:Go [Counterstrike: Global Offensive], Dota 2, 10' UI [Steam 'Big Picture Mode'])."
They could be lying of course, but we like to think that Valve are pretty straight when it comes to big product announcements.
