- NECA cancels replica Portal Gun
- Simply cites issues and states it will not be produced in the near future
- Distributor lodges protest
Remember when we reported that NECA were making a replica Portal Gun? Chances are you simply started throwing wads of cash at the screen, as a tear of joy rolled down your face (at least that's what happened here at MMGN HQ). Well we're sad to say that NECA has stopped production on the replica, simply citing "issues".
In an email to the distributor, Entertainment Earth, NECA states they are "no longer planning on making it for the foreseeable future". It also states that "the item was never produced, and to the best of our knowledge will not be delivered to any retailer at this time".
Entertainment Earth has lodged a protest with NECA, but at this stage we're all going to have to grin and bare this sad news.
