Resident Evil 6 will have three campaigns that will total thirty-hours of game time, according to the game's director.
Eiichiro Sasaki said: "The three characters each have their own story and you can choose whichever one you want and play that story, experience that character’s story."
While discussing length, Mr Sasaki said that each character's story will be "a little bit less than RE5" but longer overall when combined.
He also mentioned that, while the three characters' stories take place in different locations, they all eventually end up in China, allowing for plenty of character overlap.
"They stand on their own but they do overlap in certain areas. You don’t have to play them all, of course."
Resident Evil 6 is set to be released in October for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
