The Binding of Isaac is hardcore, weird and a little confusing at times. However gamers seem to love it, with Edmund McMillen confirming that the game has sold 700,000 copies since launch on PC and Mac.
Who would have thought a game about an abused child fighting off his mother with his tears could ever sell 700k copies in less than a year?"Not me, that's for f*cking sure."
Last month McMillen launched the Wrath of the Lamb DLC, and he has revealed that the DLC has sold a fifth of the overall sales in less than three weeks, that's a pretty good conversion rate.
McMillen claimed that the DLC's rocky launch left a bad taste in his mouth, so he decided to release another free content update for those who purchased Wrath of the Lamb. Version 1.3 adds more "items, bosses, enemies, music, secrets and a very hard to attain final ending cut scene that should shed some light on the games story even more."
He finsihed his email blast with a cheeky comment - "700k is a big number... maybe its time to bring this thing to console ;)"
Considering McMillen has already held talks with Sony about a possible console port, perhaps we could see it arive on the PS3 and Vita?
