You all went over and liked the Timesplitters 4 Facebook page right? It seems that Crytek are listening, with CEO Cevat Yerli stating that the game could come back as a free-to-play title.
"I love the idea, I love the brand, I love everything - but the publishers don't," he told
VideoGamer, adding that he doesn't "want to spend [Crytek's] money on the project in a retail business."
Wait a second, didn't Crytek just say that after Crysis 3 they would only be making free-to-play games?
Cevat then clarified his position on the matter, stating that a new Timesplitters could be run entirely from Crytek's steaming service GFACE.
I love the picture of a Timesplitters running on GFACE." - Cevat Yerli, Crytek
Timesplitters 4 was once referred to as gaming's Bigfoot, which could be interpreted as a Yeti if you will. Cevat came out and said "if we get enough fans, being loud enough, then the Yeti can come back, on GFACE".
