
After trawling through Jeb's Twitter posts, I have collected what may be in the next 1.2.6 update for Minecraft. The most significant change is the introduction of currency and trading with NPC's, a.k.a Testificates. There is also speak of inbuilt mod support for the base game, meaning that the task of installing mod-loaders may, to an extent, become unnecessary. There may also be a way to change one's Minecraft name without creating a new account, a godsend for some people. Another addition is the editing of books, which allows for the creation of diaries and making the creation of adventure maps a bit easier.
