It isn't released until next Wednesday, but Assassin's Creed III is already breaking sales records.
Pre-orders have already double those of last year's Assassin's Creed Revelations in the US, making it Ubisoft's most pre-ordered game in its illustrious 25 year history.
No official number was released, probably because there is still ample time to slap down a pre-order, followed by the Wii U version a month later to further increase the figure.
However, we do know that the Assassin's Creed series has sold over 40 million copies worldwide since it debuted in 2007.
