Ubisoft have declared in a developer interview on the PlayStation Blog that the upcoming Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will look visually superior on the PlayStation 4.
"The first thing which is going to change drastically is the graphics because we think that visually - with the stronger GPU, stronger CPU, a lot of RAM - we are going to be able to exploit this console and push the bar visually," said associate producer Sylvain Trottier.
"It's a lot more intuitive for engineers, it has a lot more compute shaders that we add and put them on the PS4 . And all these new techs that we are pushing are natively fitting in the PS4."
He continued: "All the little details that you cannot right now put on the current generation consoles because the console is running at 100 per cent right now, so you cannot add all these little details that are going to make the game even more beautiful, more immersive."
Trottier concluded the interview with the boast that Assassin's Creed IV
will "look so much better on PS4".
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is out on November 1 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U, with the PS4 version scheduled for the console's launch.
