Black Ops 2 has more value than any other game - Treyarch

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 will offer the best value of any other game available on the market, according to Treyarch designer David Vonderhaar.

The game's single-player, multiplayer and Zombies offerings make it well worth the money for gamers, according to Mr Vonderhaar.

"You get into the multiplayer and there’s a huge stretch, from combat training for the new player all the way up to league play," he said.

"There’s all sorts of stuff in between. And Zombies is now almost a game by itself," he continued, concluding that the developer is doing "all the right things to ensure that there’s a huge range of experience."

Black Ops 2 is set for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on November 13.

It's about time we get some value for our money on a game with the prices that we pay for them. There basiclly admitting to ripping us off for years up until now

Well, I'd rather here this from something that ISN'T involved on the game :P
watch them move the zombie stuff into a new game altogether or into a premium DLC the next time around.

no, they're setting the bar higher for other games

where is everyone reading this? :S I can't see them say anything like this.
all i read out of this article is that David Vonderhaar is quite short sited when it comes to video game industry

What, you guys arn't even grateful for what we are getting this time, instead you's are complaining about previous games .

Whinge Whinge Whinge , that's cod players for you, always complaining about something. If it's not camping , quick scoping , sniping. Now it's we get to much stuff =D
i agree Rusty12, pretty ridiculous
It's hard to say whether it's true what he's saying without playing it, but from what we know it seems pretty spot on.
Skyrim, Guild Wars, and Minecraft say hi. [MOG]
Can't speak for Guild Wars and Minecraft, but Skyrim?

No way. Just the multiplayer component of Blops 2 would keep most customers (note 'customers', i.e. people who would buy both) entertained much longer than Skyrim. Then you've got zombies and the campaign as well on top.

I get what you're saying, but I find games such as Skyrim to hold your attention for hundreds of hours, especially when you consider all the mods (PC only though) that extend the game's value indefinitely.

Either way, I get I'm not the audience he's appealing to, so my opinion here doesn't really matter. =_=

you saved me saying it =P
Fair enough. Personally I got over Skyrim as soon as I finished the main questlines. Competitive multiplayer has much more variety and dynamics which keeps me interested almost perpetually. You can always improve your skills in multiplayer, but once you've explored every inch of skyrim and tried every mod there's not much left to keep you interested.

And hundreds of hours of Skyrim? I reckon there's a pretty large number of people who will put in 1000+ hours of Blops over the next couple of years.
COD players are the only ones who can top my Fallout 3 playtime :(
ive got 20 days on black ops alone... that's nothing compared to some people i've seen mind you

That's the thing though, there's no end to the modding community. Mod releases will just keep coming. Look at Oblivion! That thing still has mods coming out for it.
Well, to be technical, mods aren't included in the original sale and you can't rely on there being endless mods. In terms of the straight up, original product for sale, I still maintain Blops 2 > Skyrim :P
If you combine my hours played for every COD after COD4 (and yes, I've bought every one of them) I believe my hours spent in Skyrim might be higher. And I haven't finished it.

In fact, being that I run all these on Steam I can actually check that estimate...

Oooh close. 93 hours combined vs 74. But to be fair, I have not finished Skyrim and I've finished every one of those games at least twice bar Modern Warfare 3 which sits on a hilarious and deserved 5 hours total playtime. Skyrim with ONE character I have already sunk 74 hours into and I doubt I'm very far through it at all.

Sure as hell enjoyed it more.

COD4 on the other hand I got well over 500 hours in multiplayer and played through the campaign numerous times. Because that one was actually good.
