The tweaks are endless for Blizzard's dungeon crawler Diablo 3 with the studio making adjustments to the game's Inferno difficulty again. This time they are reducing the damage monsters are capable of, which combined with their last tweak which added more high-level drops, seems like they should call it "Inferno for babies".
According to Technical Game Designer Wyatt Cheng, the potency of player defence spells have been reduced, along with monster damage means that players won't be hit anywhere near as hard.
The devs have been watching player habits for quite some time, and have noticed that 83% of level 60 wizards are using Energy Armour, while a whopping 87% of barbarians are using War Cry's Impunity modifier. Cheng says the reductions should allow users to go a different route, not having to rely on defence all the time.
