After 'inception', 'immersion' is the next episode in Dishonored's Developer's diary.
We're back for a look at Dishonored's city 'Dunwall', in which the story of Dishonored will be taking place. Dunwall was inspired by 17th century London, a city of increasing industrial power, foggy roads and unique architectural structures. It is essential players can recognize and familiarize with the city, stress the developers.
“When we first started the project, [co-director] Raph [Colantonio] and I kept saying, ‘This is London, 1666. The last year of the plague and the year of the Great Fire. The City of London at that point is pivotal to the world and pivotal to history’.”
To raise the "rock-and-roll" factor the devs added some sci-fi into the mix, to make the setting something truly creative and awe-inspiring.
Everything from how the developers' created the inhabitants of Dunwall and the malicious dogs to the voice-casting in the game is tackled in this second episode.
Dishonored will release on October 11th on the ps3, xbox 360 and PC.
