Final Fantasy VII finally went live on the Square Enix online store yesterday, but Australian gamers are still left waiting.
Final Fantasy VII was made available for many regions yesterday on the Square Enix online store, but sadly those of you in Australia were unable to make the purchase.
Kotaku reached out to the Australian Square Enix distributors asking why Aussie's couldn't purchase the game. They got a response, but it's neither positive or helpful.
The statement was simply:
"SQUARE ENIX Store will be available in Australia and New Zealand soon."
There was no reason provided, no real timeframe of when Australians will be able to get their hands on the game, just that it will be available soon.
If you're in Australia and were looking forward to playing this PC reboot (reboot?), unfortunately you'll have to wait until Square Enix is ready to make the store available.
