NBA 2K13 will give you more control over the ball than in previous years, with developer 2K Sports changing the way the control sticks influence your team's players in the game.
"The control stick's also used for shooting this year," senior game designer, Mike Wang, began, "so if you hold down the left trigger the right stick becomes the shot stick.
"We really encourage you guys to use the control stick as it's setup in the game right now. Once you master it, it's just a way better way to play the game."
Associate producer, Jerson Sapida, says offensive ball control will give you more freedom to protect the ball than in previous years.
"On offense when you're crowded, you can push the control stick to hold the ball away from the defender, the same thing Kobe [Bryant] would do in real life.
"If you push the control stick toward the defender, you can give the defender a little nudge, create that space, [which] is something Paul Piece would normally do in a game."
