We all knew that Overkill, the team behind Payday: The Heist were working on some kind of crossover prequel for Valve's Left 4 Dead. Today we have this awesome No Mercy trailer which shows some of the gameplay in action.

We're still a little puzzled as to how or why this was brought to fruition, but we honestly can't wait to strap in and feel the heat.

I like the familiarity. I dont remember that many bullets or riot gear lying about tho :P

Personally, I'm not a big fan of this prequel/cross-over that somewhat goes about explaining how the virus got let loose.

the trailer doesn't really impress me so hopefully its a lot more fun than it makes it out in that preview.

Pandemic

I played this two days ago, pretty fun, they did a great job though, and it's harder than I thought it would be.

I at first thought zombies would start to appear, guess not.

Yeah I haven't played this yet, but I was hoping for like halfway through zombies start like breaking out and attacking everyone and you have to escape.

They are not trying to explain how the virus came about or creating a prequel.

They just wanted to incorporate a bit of left for dead into heist, with some Easter eggs for some fans.

Like a familiar level design, a character appearance, location name drops, and the effective element of darkness, and some special infected masks. That trailer also did a glimpse of one of the new weapons rumored to be in the wolf pack dlc, the machine pistol.
