Tekken Tag 2 is set to receive a update to remove the name 'Allah' from the Saudi Arabia stage after gamers took to Twitter to voice their disapproval to producer, Katsuhiro Harada, Original Gamer has reported.

"Excuse me sir, I thank you for the stage of Saudi Arabia but there's a huge mistake by putting Allah's name on floor," said one Tweeter.

"Can you please remove it from the Saudi Arabia Stage [as] it's very offensive to Muslims! Thank you," said another.

Mr Harada was quick to respond, saying: "We didn't know that. We will change design data as soon as possible. We couldn't read that."

The designer's commitment to remove the offensive material comes after Infinity Ward responded to offended Modern Warfare 2 gamers by removing an offensive painting with reference to Islam.

Who exactly sits down and goes through a game with a microscope to find these things.
It's on the floor, it's hard to read, why is it offensive ?
Why not just ignore it and get on with playing the game.
is it truly there or just something someones mind sees as being there?

I think people really do mind that it's there.

So we need to sit back and try to understand why people think this why, why they get offended.

I know it is difficult for you or I to understand, but clearly Islam faith has/requires a love and respect for a prophet that they commit their life and beliefs on.

That said, it frustrates me that I feel that people are so quick to stem stuff like this out, out of fear of violent retribution.

I get that a majority of Muslims don't respond with violence, but at the very least there is sentiment around the world that responds to insult with acts of violence.

That is dangerous territory.

It is good that people respect their prophet, but at the same time, not being able to speak critically of someone/thing, not being able to mock it, is a sentiment that does not belong in the Western world.

I mean, how can this be offensive? I really don't understand it. I try to associate, but I just can't.

Allah is offensive in a video game but murdering innocent civilians in GTA is fine?
People and groups get offended all the time, doesnt mean Muslims or any religious group has more of a right to have things removed or censored. Im not bashing religion, but censorship as a whole. Dont like it, dont play it. Or close your eyes or something.

Not really you just hate Muslims in general and just have racial and cultural fears that Australia would have an increase of Muslim and non anglo-saxon population in Australia which cause you fear with extreme hatred. Muslims have been living in Australia for more than 100 years and have the right to become Australian citizens.

Plus the person was just requesting to remove the text it not forcing them, even if I saw it I would to ask them about it even though I'm not a Muslim.

The removal of this mostly makes sense to me. It's absurd they would write Allah on the floor of a fighting arena in the first place. Only thing I don't get is what people are taking offence to. The floor doesn't say "Allah wants you to f**k s**t UP!". It just says "Allah" ... what is upsetting about "Allah"? :S

You have the name written in Arabic on the floor (which makes it worse than being written in english) and your seen as walking all over him with the characters and displaying acts of violence.
Same with the MW2 controversy where the picture was placed above a crapper, whats not to get? course muslims would find it offensive their highly religous, im not by the way but i can understand the issue.

I'm not that religious but I still don't like my kids saying "god" or Jesus Christ as a swear word.. Either in public or at home.. It's disrespectful.. I'm actually for them removing it.. It doesn't need to be there IMO

People are continuously asking why is it offensive to Muslims.. I would say that it is offensive to anyone who believes in God, The Almighty.

Well, Allah is an Arabic word which means "God", Similarly in other Religion/languages such as in Hinduism/Indian , they call god by the name of "RAAM".

In short anyone who believes in "God" should be worried about the name "GOD" written on the floor and characters stepping on it through out the game play.It is really disrespectful for the Creator and It will surely offense all of the believers including Muslims/Non-Muslims..

So Non-believers please stop yelling at Muslims and if you are dying to yell that much, yell on all of the believers (who believe in God, The Creator of all) now.. Thank you
