Ubisoft Montreal have just announced their next project, The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot. It seems to mock yet embrace the never ending quest to find epic loot in games like Diablo and Torchlight, while balancing on the very fine line of comedy.

The title will be free-to-play as player design and furnish their castles with traps, monsters, labyrithine layouts and of course, awesome loot at the other end of the tunnel. Other players will then attempt to defeat your dungeon for the shiny loot.

No official release date has been revealed, however you can sign up for the beta by visiting the official website and try your luck at securing some sweet loot.

Looks fun
love the concept and the trailer. not so much 'free to play' models as I can sometimes find them more intrusive and so I'd rather just BUY the game.
Yeah this could be interesting but for some reason it reminds me of Deathspank, I guess just because it adds humour to this genre.
I wonder if the humour will translate the same during gameplay but we'll see. the character and his over embellished voice reminds me of Captain Qwark :P

never got to play deathspank though; I really should!
