Remember how Ubisoft launched their PC digital distribution platform Uplay a while ago? Well now they company has hinted that they might also be selling third-party games in the near future.
We remain open to opportunities Right now, we're starting the service with our own games, but as we go forward, we plan to potentially add other titles." - Stephanie Perotti, Worldwide Director for Online Games, Ubisoft
Uplay actually launched in 2009 as a hub for gamers to share media and unlock content in Ubisoft games across PC, Xbox 360, Wii and PS3, but has since added an online store and chat functionality in the same fashion as Steam and Origin.
The real question here is do we really need yet another digital distribution platform?
