Ubisoft has today launched Uplay PC, a digital distribution platform for all Uplay enabled games.
Uplay is similar to EA's Origin. No longer will digital PC games use an individual launcher when purchased from the Ubishop. They can all be managed through Uplay PC, which will link your console and social networking accounts and friendlists.
"Uplay PC is a great way for customers to discover Ubisoft’s games, connect with their friends and gaming communities, and win achievements and content that’s not available anywhere else," said Stephanie Perotti, Worldwide Director for Online Games, Ubisoft. "For PC gamers that are already fans of Ubisoft’s titles or have been considering trying some of our classics, this promotion is a great deal, and our way of saying thank you for their support."
To entice gamers to download yet another games client -- joining Steam and Origin -- Ubisoft is offering Driver: San Francisco, From Dust, Silent Hunter 5 and H.A.W.X. 2 for just $1, along with other popular titles at 75% off.
