MacCentric said: I fix computers for a living, and most people's passwords are not on that list (though always a few that are). What does constitute about 90% of the passwords out there is either the name of a pet or a child. The other 10% use numbers that were important to them, old phone numbers and street addresses and such. When someone comes in and has forgotten their password, I can figure it out nearly half the time by just getting some pretty basic info from them.
If you want a really secure password that's easy to remember, use a phrase, then change it a little like add a number to the end of every word, change out letters for numbers, and/or capitalize the last letter of each word.
